Hyaline Mycelia (fungal hyphae)
Characteristics
Sterile mycelia which is often colorless or transparent when growing in culture. No fruiting structures are produced by the mycelia. Visual identification of these organism is not possible.
Allergen
Often associated with allergic symptoms. This is reported as fungal hyphae as part of a spore trap analysis.
