Health Effects
It is a common cause of aspergillosis. Reported to cause skin and pulmonary infections (26), common cause of fungal related ear infections-otomycosis (5, 26).
Growth Indoors
Commonly found on textiles, in soils, grains, fruits, and vegetables (5). It is commonly found in carpet in buildings with operable windows and infrequent vacuuming.
Spore Size
Conidia dimensions 3.5-5 microns (5) or 4-5 microns (26).
